If I started counting all applications which don't run on the >TT, I would never dare to try PC Ditto. Sorry, I think you're mistaken... PC-ditto is nothing but an _interpreter_! There is really no big difference between, say, a BASIC interpreter and interpreter for 8086 machine language. Look: - There is no need to directly write to hardware registers for floppy I/O (use the BIOS instead). - There is no need to directly write to the screen or directly access the keyboard hardware (use the BIOS conio functions instead). (It _could_ work even in the new screen modes!) - There is no need at all to fiddle around with trap or interrupt vectors. - There is no need at all to employ timing loops dependant on processor speed. There no real reason why PC-ditto shouldn't work on a TT! If PC-ditto doesn't run on an TT (and it looks that way), the reason is propably sloppy (or too "clever") programming and "not following the rules"! The only reason I'd like some more is so I can multitask Aldus Freehand, Pagemaker 4, and MacWrite II at the same time - at the moment I'm exactly 300k short to do that. :-( But for just about all of my daily usage, four megs is fine.
